Delete pages
Remove the pages you don't need.
Delete pages produces a new PDF with the page numbers or ranges you specify removed — the original file's content, page order, and formatting are otherwise untouched for the pages that remain.

How we verify Delete pages
How to confirm exactly the intended pages were removed, and no more.
Page numbers refer to the original document
The numbers or ranges you enter (e.g. "2,4-6") always refer to positions in the original uploaded file, not to any previous edit — so double-check them against the page count shown after upload.
At least one page must remain
If your ranges would delete every page in the document, the tool blocks the action rather than producing an empty file — you'll need to leave at least one page out of the delete list.
Confirm the output's new page count
The output's page count should equal the original count minus the number of pages you deleted. If it doesn't match, re-check your range syntax for typos or overlapping numbers.
Before you rely on the result
- The page numbers to delete are correct against the original document, not a prior edit.
- At least one page remains after the deletion.
- The output's page count equals original count minus deleted count.
- You've opened the result to confirm the right content is gone and nothing else shifted unexpectedly.
Who this is for
- Anyone who needs to remove a handful of specific pages without touching the rest of the document.
- Office workers redacting internal-only pages before sending a document externally.
- Students or researchers trimming blank or duplicate scanned pages from a document.
- Anyone cleaning up a scanned stack that includes accidental extra pages.
Real-world examples
Removing an accidental blank scan
A student scans a 20-page assignment and the scanner grabs one extra blank page; they delete just that page number before submitting.
Cutting a confidential internal page
A manager needs to share a 15-page report externally but page 9 contains internal-only figures, so they delete that page before sending it out.
Trimming duplicate scanned pages
An office worker's scanner double-feeds twice while digitizing a stack of forms, producing two duplicate pages; they delete the duplicates by page number.
Limitations
- At least one page must remain in the output.
Frequently asked questions
Do the page numbers refer to the file after previous edits, or the original?
They always refer to the file as currently uploaded in this session — if you want to chain edits, download the result first, then re-upload it for the next step.
What happens if I try to delete every page?
The tool blocks the action, since a PDF needs at least one page — you'll need to leave at least one page out of your delete list.
Can I delete a non-contiguous set of pages, like "2,5,9"?
Yes — list individual page numbers and/or ranges separated by commas, e.g. "2,4-6,9", and all of them will be removed in one pass.
Does this tool renumber the pages that remain?
The pages simply shift up to fill the gap left by deleted pages — there's no separate visible page-number stamp unless you've added one with the page numbers tool.
