Add watermark
Stamp a text watermark on every page.
Add watermark stamps your chosen text across every page of a PDF, centered, with adjustable font size, opacity, and rotation angle — useful for marking documents as drafts, confidential, or attributing ownership before sharing.
Add watermark
Stamp a centered text watermark on every page.
Note: this uses a standard PDF font, so only Latin letters and numbers are supported for now — CJK watermark text needs a custom embedded font (a possible future upgrade).

How we verify Add watermark
How to confirm the watermark appears correctly across the whole document.
Latin-only text, by design
The watermark uses a standard built-in PDF font that only supports Latin letters and numbers — Chinese, Japanese, or Korean characters won't render correctly, since embedding a CJK font isn't implemented yet.
Opacity and rotation affect legibility
A very low opacity keeps the watermark subtle but may be hard to see when printed in black and white; a steep rotation angle (like 45°) is the classic diagonal "stamp" look, while 0° keeps the text horizontal.
Applies uniformly to every page
There's no per-page selection for the watermark — it's stamped identically, centered, on every page of the document in one pass.
Before you rely on the result
- Your watermark text uses only Latin letters, numbers, and basic punctuation.
- You've picked a font size and opacity that stay legible against the page content underneath.
- The rotation angle matches the look you want (0° horizontal, or an angled "stamp" look).
- You've opened the result and checked the watermark on at least the first and last page.
Who this is for
- Anyone who needs to mark a document as a draft, sample, or confidential before sharing it.
- Businesses adding a company name or copyright line across distributed PDFs.
- Freelancers watermarking preview copies of paid deliverables before final payment.
- Anyone who wants a quick, consistent stamp across every page without editing each one by hand.
Real-world examples
Marking an internal review draft
A team stamps "DRAFT — INTERNAL REVIEW" diagonally across a proposal PDF before circulating it for comments, so no one mistakes it for the final version.
Watermarking a paid preview
A designer stamps "SAMPLE — NOT FOR PRINT" across a low-opacity watermark on a portfolio PDF sent to a prospective client before the contract is signed.
Confidential distribution copy
An HR department stamps "CONFIDENTIAL" across every page of a salary review document before it's sent to a limited internal distribution list.
Limitations
- CJK (Chinese/Japanese/Korean) text isn't supported yet — only Latin letters and numbers.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use Chinese, Japanese, or Korean text in the watermark?
Not currently — the watermark uses a standard PDF font that only supports Latin letters, numbers, and basic punctuation. CJK support would need a custom embedded font, which isn't implemented yet.
Can I position the watermark somewhere other than the center?
Not in this version — the watermark is always centered on the page. Adjusting font size and rotation is currently the way to control its visual footprint.
Will the watermark show up when the PDF is printed?
Yes, as long as the opacity isn't set so low that it becomes invisible against the page background — test-print a page if the printed result matters.
Does the watermark apply to only some pages?
No — it's applied to every page of the document uniformly in a single pass.
